Andrew’s therapy room is located in Morningside, Edinburgh, where he offers treatments for a huge variety of issues in a safe and comfortable environment. The following are those areas for which help is most commonly sought.

Virtual Gastric Band

The virtual gastric band is a highly effective, non-invasive technique that takes you through ‘virtual’ gastric band surgery through a set number of hypnotherapy sessions.  A real gastric band is irreversible, major surgery, this treatment offers a more gentle but extremely effective alternative.

Weight Loss

Take control of your weight management. This successful programme will help you take control.  In the weight management equation there is no getting around the fact that weight loss and weight gain are directly related to the amount of food consumed and the amount of energy expended.  Diets are designed to tell you what you and cannot eat. The diet, in effect, is controlling you. You lose weight as long as you manage to stick to the diet. Most people, however, when they come off the diet, put the weight back on, often with some extra as well. Weight loss through Hypnotherapy puts you in control.

Stop Smoking

Stop Smoking Easily in just one session using advanced Hypnosis Techniques.  Quit cigarettes in just over 1 hour with Andrew who has been trained by Europe’s top Anti-smoking Hypnotist and Hypnotherapist, Robert Kelly.

Anxieties

Everyone has feelings of anxiety and worry many times throughout their lifetime.  For example, you may feel worried or anxious about a job interview, getting the results from a medical test, financial issues or even getting married.  Feelings of worry and anxiety are perfectly normal reactions to the daily pressures of life.  However, for some people, these feelings of worry or anxiety can become intrusive in their lives, and may begin to affect them on a daily basis.

Fears & Phobias

There are probably very few of us who do not have any fears or phobias, even if it is as simple as being a little fearful of spiders or of the dark.  Many such fears are manageable and have very little impact on our lives.

Self-confidence

Many people who are confident and self-assured tend to be naturally sociable. They achieve success in their chosen career and take full advantage of all the opportunities in life.  People are attracted to confident people and enjoy spending time in their company. Self confidence tends to make you feel happier and more relaxed.

Compulsive Symptoms

You would normally hear or read about compulsive behaviours and disorders being linked with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), which is a diagnosis widely used within the mental health profession.  However, it has been found more helpful to separate compulsive behaviours from obsessive behaviours as their impact upon people’s lives and the way in which they are experienced is very different.

Sexual Problems

Talking about sexual problems can seem very difficult. Getting help is easy.

Stress

Stress has always been a part of our daily lives, beginning with the fight or flight response we inherited from our early ancestors.  Many of our stresses are natural everyday responses to situations where our bodies react in a somewhat stimulated way. This type of stress could be viewed as ‘positive’ or ‘necessary’ stress because without it we would probably lead quite inactive, dull and directionless lives.

Sport

Each person participating in sport, recreational or competitive, will have their own unique, personal needs and goals. The hypnotherapy sessions will be individually tailored to meet those needs and to achieve those goals. A range of techniques can be utilised to ensure that the sportsman or sportswoman is always building upon his/her best previous performance.

Golf: I have designed a special programme for golfers. It is said that about 80% of the game of golf takes place in the players head. When you feel in control of your thinking then you game will improve. The programme covers amongst other things how to take control of your thinking, visualisation and self-hypnosis. There is, of course, much more to the programme but the main ingredient is you.
